Tangled charger cords have a way of turning the bottom of every bag into total chaos, but this little bow fixes that fast. This bow-shaped cord keeper wraps your cables into a neat loop and actually stays put, because it’s designed for the job. It’s not a last-minute rubber band that slips off the second you grab your charger.

It keeps your tech essentials from knotting up while adding a soft, handmade detail that feels thoughtful instead of purely functional. Slip it around phone chargers, headphones, or laptop cords before you head out, and you’ll never have to wrestle a cord mess again. It’s one of those small upgrades that quietly makes everyday life run smoother. Practical can still be pretty, and this proves it!
Even better, you can make one yourself, because the pattern for this bow cord keeper is waiting for you right here on the blog, completely free. It works up quickly, uses minimal yarn, and makes the kind of practical little project you will reach for again and again. If you love creating pieces that are both useful and beautiful, this is a satisfying one to add to your hook list.

Materials:
- Approximately 15 yards/14 meters of 4/worsted/medium weight yarn
- J/6 mm hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Measuring tape
- 1/2″ Sew in snaps

Gauge:
double crochet back loop only – 14 stitches by 8 rows = 4″ x 4″
Gauge is important to your project, so your finished piece will be the size specified in the pattern, and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The hook size for the pattern is based on what I used, but gauge can vary from person to person and be affected by yarn. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make 4”, try using a smaller size hook; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook.
